Moving on . . .

Well, now that the final decision on the purchase of the Highland Lake Golf Club by Henderson County has been made in the negative, we're moving into the second phase: what happens to the property at the Highland Lake Golf Club?

This phase will most likely be a long and slow one. I will be posting items when something of interest happens, but who knows how often that will be. I appreciate all the comments that the various posts have received and hope you'll keep checking back from time to time. Thanks.

  1. Highland Lake Neighbors (two golfers) wish to thank you for your incredible blog, which kept us informed throughout the soccer complex ordeal. As former soccer players, we understand the need for safe fields but sincerely know Highland Lakes Golf Course would never work for many reasons. Our hope is for everyone to make peace; for children to understand that sportsmanship is learned both on and off a sports field or golf course.

  2. there was never any ill feelings towards the soccer community and the people of Flat Rock. It was a matter of whats right and how this whole thing was handeled or not. this was a bad site from the get-go the fletcher project is a better suit for all traffic, availibility, its a no brainer for the soccer club and they should keep to the signed lease and enjoy there new fields for which they seek...
