Don't forget--there is a way for the county commissioners to cancel the option agreement for Highland Lake Golf Club. From the Nov. 2 Times-News story, County residents divided on soccer complex, an important consideration:

He was not sure whether a second vote could be taken by commissioners, since such an action happens so rarely, but he thought the law stated that someone other than a dissenting voter — in this case Young — could make a motion for reconsideration if the board chose to do so.
and request that they make a motion to reconsider at Monday's meeting.
